Regular courses in Information Skills are run by the library staff. Our online catalogue can also be helpful in finding material relevant to your course.

When you think of living in London, the words heap accommodation?may not be the first to spring to mind. However, prepare yourself for a pleasant surprise.

Living in and around Tooting is still relatively inexpensive compared with many other parts of London. And the Halls of Residence at St Georgeremain amongst the most competitively priced of any university or medical school in or near the capital.

    Halls of Residence
The Halls of Residence at St George抯 are located just under a mile away from the School itself and close to local shops. Thirteen purpose-built houses set in a small private estate at St George抯 Grove provide accommodation for 254 residents. We can normally offer a room to every first year student who requires one.The study bedrooms at the Halls are designed for single occupancy. Every house has three floors, each with bathroom and kitchen. On the middle floor of each house is a common room with a colour television where you can meet and get to know your neighbours. Residents at the Halls also have their own central computer facility with full online access. Launderette facilities are also available at a nominal charge.
The Halls provide a friendly, welcoming environment and secure accommodation. There is a full-time Domestic Superintendent based at the Medical School and a Security Guard is on site 24 hours a day.

    Friendship House
Further accommodation is available at Friendship House. Arranged in units of three or four rooms, each room is designed for single occupation and is fitted with a washbasin. The rooms within each unit share kitchen and shower facilities. The accommodation at Friendship House includes breakfast and dinner and a launderette service is available for a small charge. A resident warden on the site provides security and peace of mind.
